This action-crammed sequel takes place in a dystopian America of the near future, where crime is negligible and everyone has a job. In exchange, the New Founding Fathers have given everyone one night a year when laws do not apply, anyone is fair game for murder, and the streets run red with blood. Most everyone stays barricaded inside on Purge night, but Anarchy tells the story of a group of strangers who are outdoors for the night – some by accident and some with more sinister motives. These people only share one thing: the will to survive. Together, they face down gangs of blood-crazed psychos, a would-be rapist, and – most menacing of all – rich people. Can they make it to sunrise and safety?
