This supernatural horror movie is based on the 1983 novel of the same name by Stephen King. It is the second film adaptation of the book. A cheerful family of four moves from a big city, Boston, to a rural town. Their new house is huge and isolated in the woods, except for the busy highway out front. Unfortunately, truck drivers tend to barrel down this stretch of road. The inevitable happens – an accident – but a local legend tells of a mysterious place in the woods where death isn’t so permanent. One bad decision leads to another, proving that humans shouldn’t meddle in things beyond their understanding.
