Eli Roth’s remake of the 1974 revenge classic stars Bruce Willis as nice-guy-turned-vigilante Paul Kersey. Kersey is a surgeon in Chicago whose life is smashed apart when criminals invade his home and attack his wife and daughter. With nothing to lose, Kersey hides his face with a hoodie, slinks into the night, and settles some scores with gunfire. Shaky cell-phone videos of his violent antics show up on social media, and before long, the "Grim Reaper" is the talk of the nation. But is he a savior or a deranged lunatic? Even Kersey himself doesn’t seem quite sure. Death Wish is packed with tense action, over-the-top violence, and a surprisingly nuanced performance from Willis.
